Hey Jumpers,
Just a quick note here. The Brazilian postal system finally spit out that original artwork from Fabio and so I now finally have all of the needed elements to but this one fully to bed. The last few packages are going out this week and we are 100% fulfilled.
Thanks so much again for making this one special. Returning after a two year break on Kickstarter could have been perilous. You made it easy.
Watch this space. I will likely return to KS soon with more PEACEKEEPERS (my FARGOesque crime drama). I have four more bad ass issues completed and it's about time they found an audience.

13 is the forgotten superhero identity of Hal Higgins, a man cursed with such bad luck that his misfortune can be contagious. During the Golden Age, Hal learned to harness his hex and turn it against criminals. But his days as a masked avenger are a fading memory, and now he’s eking out a lonely existence as a hired-gun security consultant in 1960s Las Vegas. Things aren’t going so great.
13: Last Chance is what might happen if Marvel’s Longshot lost his powers and wound up in The Rockford Files (but set in Rat Pack-era Las Vegas). In the years since Hal misplaced his abilities to strike villains with bad luck, his adopted home has become a sometimes dangerous playground for those seeking fame and fortune. But the man best suited to root out the troubles of Sin City has shut himself out of it, choosing instead to drink and smoke his past away in isolation. Until one night, a gambler strolls into the casino where Hal works - and wins more than his fair share of chips.
13: Last Chance is about the search for identity when a part of you is taken away. It's a story of trying to reconcile with loss, regret and guilt. Pretty much everything you can experience on a rough night in Vegas. Or in a few years of everyday living.
Creator Jeff Leeds is one of my oldest friends in comics. He's been working on this as long as I've known him. It's been a labor of love and it is really spectacular. You should RUN to back this one.

I've said it before, I'll say it again here... MONSTER MATADOR by Steven Prince is my absolute favorite comic book. It follows a Matador, in post apocalyptic world, fighting to make life better for his young daughter.
It plays like Danny McBride and Jody Hill made a Santo movie and then gleefully peed on it. It's completely and utterly bonkers, so goddamn smart and funny. I honestly can't recommend it enough.
This book picks up after Volume 1 and finds the Matador reunited with his daughter in Mexico. But there's barely time to catch up as a new monster rises and attacks Mexico City! Joined in battle by a monster-fighting band of Luchadores, the Monster Matador must find a way to face his greatest fear in order to defeat the MEGARACHA!
If you missed out on earlier installments of the book, there are a bunch of fun ways to catch up here.
Anyway, this was a first-minute back for me and I HIGHLY recommend you give it a try. You won't be sorry. If you need more reason to dive in, the art was done by Ringo-nominated BANJAX/THE JUMP artist Fabio Alves.
